BANYUHAY: Robellro Bartolome (More Developed Version)
Over the
past few weeks, like most students, I learned more about our subject in ICT
especially in designing a webpage with the use of Microsoft Frontpage. I was
not sure at first what this application is but over the span of the 4th
quarter, I learned more about what it is and what it can do.
This
quarter, I realized that although we are taught to give our best most of the
time, we should not let ourselves get to the point where we would be tired and unmotivated
all the time. I learned how it is not helpful for you and your general
well-being if you gave your 100% every day or every task because at the end,
you will be burned out and you will be exhausted. We must learn how and when
are the right times to peak and give our best.
I also
realized how we should not let ourselves be super focused on studying or
working all the time, we should learn how to give our body a break or even
reward ourselves with hobbies or with anything that we find desirable to
do or to have; and continue to fight afterwards. Remember that in order for the
bread to rise, it needs to have a rest.
I am in no way glorifying nor romanticizing the pandemic because millions of people have lost to the battle of COVID-19, but I thank the time that this pandemic has given me to reassure myself, reevaluate my past actions, and overall rethink my life and my decisions because as a teenager who is unsure of their future, I really needed that time to reflect. I can really say that this pandemic birthed a new version of myself, and I am proud of it.
I am
nearing the end of my junior high school journey and with that, I would like to
take this opportunity to acknowledge the following for their contributions to
different aspects of my life so that I can finish my junior high school with flying colors:
- To my family, thank you for the undying support that you had bestowed upon me. Your love has made me motivated throughout the years that is why I was able to accomplish the tasks that I thought were impossible to reach
- To my classmates, thank you for being a part of my high school journey and I hope we would all achieve what we want to achieve in the future.
- To my teachers, thank you for the wisdom and the teachings. I will never forget all your lessons and will continue to carry them all throughout my life.
- To my SMC family, thank you for the continuous guidance. There is a special place for all of you in my heart and I will cherish forever the moments that we have before and during the pandemic
- To my Alma Mater, Ilocos Sur National High School, thank you for letting me grow and become a better version of myself every day.
As I close this chapter of my journey, I hope that my story
along with the stories of my classmates and colleagues, be an inspiration for
the newer batches; and be an instrument of motivation for them to use so that
they would also achieve their goals and aspirations in life.
