This 3rd quarter was a challenge not only
for me but to also for my fellow students. A lot has happened in our country
and the government still continue to disappoint us with their failed missions
and promises, and questionable decisions which makes us have zero to no
motivation in still actively pursuing and doing these activities. And with
their incompetence, COVID-19 cases continue to soar and quarantines are
implemented again in our country. This made students have access to education only
digitally, with this it made another barrier for students and even teachers to
overcome because of the lack of gadgets and the poor internet connection we
have at our homes. Even though it is called “flexible” learning, it failed to
reach to students and teachers who have limited to no access to the internet.

This 3rd quarter, without sugarcoating
anything, has been exhausting. A lot of students are now unmotivated, stressed,
and overwhelmed by the number of tasks needed to be done in just a short amount
of time and I, myself too is included. I began to question about doing these
tasks and it came to the point that I thought about giving up but this quickly
changed when one day, I decided to reevaluate my study routine, my
time-management skills, my attention span, and my way of learning.
Personally, with the help of the internet and some
pieces of advice present in different social media platforms, it made me feel
hopeful again and now, I learned how to draw inspiration and motivation easily
and since then, I became more active and productive in completing such tasks
even though it may be tiring at times. One thing that I learned during this period is how we have the power to change our views and mindset when we are
trying to achieve something, we can manipulate our minds to be more motivated
to do something and with that, when there are times that I want to give up and
quit, I would bear in my mind the dreams and goals that I want to achieve in
the future and that really helped me go through the tasks and projects needed for
each subject.

I also realized that success is not in the end but is
in the process, this made me rethink and reassess what I knew about achieving
my dreams and it helped me to become more appreciative of the simple
victories that I have done for the past few days rather than focusing and
stressing myself too much about the major wins.
We are nearing the end and I am thankful for the undying
support and the continuous help and advice from my teachers, students, and
friends. With them, I was able to realize that it is okay to ask for help, it
doesn’t show any form of weakness but it shows that you are willing and
creative in learning. With them, I was able to widen and broaden my knowledge
on certain aspects and areas especially on topics that I am not familiar with
and I am stronger and more fulfilled in finishing this academic year.
