Learnings without applications are useless

 

As a student, I have to say: it was a tough and stressful quarter especially we have to shift our ways and actions in order to fully comprehend the modules that were given to us. These past few months I learned and discovered how significant it is to be able to manage time wisely and follow the schedule since it is key for you to answer the given tasks. It is also important to point out how being a fast learner with available materials is such a huge advantage in learning nowadays especially our homes became the new school and we students in modular learning became the new teachers for ourselves. I noticed how I was able to be more creative, flexible, and be more organized than before.

 I learned that during this times, it is essential for us to know that if we want to continue and pursue our education, we have to be resourceful, and think of certain ways that can truly help us achieve what we desire. Aside from morals and decorum, I also had fun learning about new topics that are fresh to me; I also discovered a new skill that will surely help me along my high school journey. It was amazing how I managed to interpret every lesson even though I am not that academically gifted but like any student, I am not that smart that is why I also had and encountered obstacles that became a hindrance for me to answer the said tasks. 

There were times that I couldn’t understand the notes and would use outside sources to clarify and explain the topic well; sometimes it would overwhelm me how there are a lot of tasks that are needed to be done in just a short amount of time; I experienced double the stress and anxiety than I had before when it was still face to face classes but now I am determined to learn on how to act properly and appropriately for me to not have another mental breakdown and cry. I also had done some investigating and research and also found out that I am not the only person that is struggling right now. A lot of students and teachers have spoken up about how this new modes of learning is a burden for students, teachers, and even parents. They have given their views and opinions on how we could and should implement some sort of academic ease to further help the students and to also help the teaching personnel especially not all students are that academically inclined and need more guidance and assistance. 

I personally experienced having to reread the notes that were given yet will not understand a single topic but as I learned outside the module and rely and used some information from credible resources, I learned that for me to further expand my knowledge on that topic I should think outside of the box on how I can learn such as: surfing through the internet to find reliable and truthful information, watch educational videos that are available for free in YouTube, and setting my mind so that I could focus more on the topics rather than just being distracted from the surroundings. 

The key solution for me is to have perseverance, be hardworking, and be determined because as of this moment, if you can't help and guide yourself, nobody is going to do that for you and thus you won’t succeed. Moving on I will learn from my past experiences that became an eye-opener for me to strive harder and do better. I will try to diminish all of the wrongdoings that I have committed and would try to practice proper and suitable actions for every situation or occasion. I will try and push myself to go past the limit or my comfort zone and try to enhance and improve my abilities, capabilities, talents, and strengths in order for me to overcome this modular learning. 

I agree that I may not be that perfect student who gets all A’s and would get high grades but with diligence, commitment, and steadfastness, I, too can do and acquire knowledge and apply it to the real world because after all, at the end of the day, the numbers on our cards, certificates, and medals would mean nothing and will eventually be useless if we don’t continue to be determined and if we do not know how to apply the lessons and teachings to the real world.
